Ellie had learned that the camera flashed so she had started "preparing" by closing her eyes- or at least one of them! I'm so glad I put her in her Halloween outfit just to go to the Pumpkin Patch...

She looks so healthy. I can understand how you would have no idea of what was to come.
Like the other commenters, I think Ellie looks so healthy. It is weird how these infections come from nowhere. I think I told you that I survived septic shock. I was fine one afternoon & very ill the next a.m.
