January 15th

What a difference a year makes...

January 15th, 2008. I had my embryo transfer that resulted in our little man, Max.

January 15th, 2009. The miracle of life! The picture in the picture is of the two embryos, taken under microscope, they implanted in 2008. One of them is Max.

January 15th, 2010- The day our beautiful, beautiful little girl, Ellie came into the world.
I guess you could say that Jan. 15th is the day that gave me both of my babies.

Brand new baby Ellie and Max, two years post embryo

January 15th, 2011- The day our Ellie would have turned one.
Ellie's 1st Birthday

Max- three years after the embryo picture!

Instead of opening presents first thing this morning with our excited, sweet little cuddle bug, we went to the cemetery. Not exactly what I had planned. To say it's hard to be without your baby on their birthday is a vast understatement. Throughout the day, I just kept thinking, "oh we were doing this or that exactly one year ago today." We did the best we could. I think we made our Peanut proud. Good things happened today because of her. I will post more tomorrow... I think today was as good as it could be. As good as a 1st birthday party can be, without a birthday girl.

Peanut~ I know you were celebrated today, here and there. I know today, like every other day, you were loved, here and there. But you were only missed here. Because you are forever there. I love you so much. Thank you for making me the proud Mama of a beautiful, funny and smart daughter exactly one year today. Happy 1st Birthday Ellie! ~Mama

I stumbled upon your blog only because "The Broken Road" is one of my favorite songs...Now you have one more person keeping you and your family in her thoughts.
